Floorplan Feature: Weekend Survey for a Detached Property in Porthcawl

This weekend I had the chance to carry out a full internal survey and produce a clean, 2D floorplan for a lovely detached home in Porthcawl. The brief was simple - create a clear, accurate layout that would help potential buyers get a real feel for the flow of the home before even stepping through the door.

Using my usual combination of professional measuring equipment and CAD software, I captured the entire internal footprint - from room sizes and wall positions to window and door placements. The final plan includes labelled spaces, clean proportions, and a format that works well both online and in print.

It’s always satisfying to hand over a floorplan that makes an estate listing more informative and visually appealing. These small details go a long way in improving the buyer experience especially when combined with interior and drone photography.
